1863 THE DECISIVE YEAR OF THE CIVIL WAR

Green Grove Gardens, Greencastle

As 1863 dawned, Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, and the severe realities of civil war clenched America tighter. The Allison-Antrim Museum brings the Civil War history of 1863 to Green Grove Gardens in Greencastle with a two-day speaker series and living history encampment. The speaker series features top-named Civil War historians and authors. Some activities are free, $99 per person for full participation both days.
