Penn National Golf Course Community hosted two Pickle Ball Demonstrations over the course of the week.  Over 60 residents and a few folks from the Chambersburg area came out on Sunday, June 1st and Tuesday, June 3rd to watch the game and learn the rules.  Lorraine Klippel and Sandy Kirkman led both events.  Sandy started out the demo by letting everyone know that playing and strategy are not hard to pick up, but keeping score can be confusing.  As Sandy and Lorraine explained the action on the court, they would ask the on-lookers to announce the score before the serve.  We had lots of laughs as we all struggled to keep it straight.  Both demos were so well received they decided to host another one this Sunday, June 8th at 1:00 p.m.  The public is invited to attend.  The demonstration will be held at the Penn National Racquet Courts 3720 Clubhouse Drive, Fayetteville, PA.

Penn National hosted its first on-site marketing event of the year:  “Fall In Love with Penn National” on Saturday, February 16, 2013.  18 out-of-town guests attended the day long program.  The event began with a continental breakfast and a community presentation by Patti Nitterhouse, VP of White Rock, Inc.  Following the presentation guests took a trolley tour of Penn National in the Boyertown Trolley Deluxe model which was built in 1988 and only 10 are operating in the United States today.  A luncheon was served at the Founders Grille with 10 resident ambassadors joining the group to meet and answer questions.   The event generated three real estate sales contracts-- a resale lot, a 9th View condo, and a new Homestead Cottage.  We expect additional sales from this event over the next few months from this group of well-qualified buyers. Penn National’s Patti Nitterhouse says “this is just further evidence that recent news articles on the improving housing market are in fact correct.”  Penn National’s next big event is scheduled for April 6th with “A Parade of Homes.”  The focus of these events is to showcase the strong property values available and the benefits of living at the Penn National Community, and in Franklin County, where active adults can Live Well and Stay Close to their family and friends.
