A Midsummer Night’s Dream

June 19 @ 6:00 pm

Join us for this year’s annual Shakespeare in the Park production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. This will be our 7th production in the series but our first partnering with our friends at The Cumberland Theatre.
This event is free and open to the public! While some seating may be available we encourage patrons to bring blankets chairs as well in case no seating remains. Reservations are not required. Per current Maryland and Pennsylvania State regulations we recommend anyone that is not fully vaccinated to wear their mask to any performance.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies that revolves around the love square between two pairs of lovers who want to follow their hearts rather than their parents wishes, the band of amateur actors rehearsing for their performance for the wedding, and the group of fairies who are engaged in domestic conflict. Magic, mayhem, and plenty of laughs ensue as the fairies manipulate the humans who have entered into the woodlands.

Sponsored by Washington County Gives donors, The Institute, The City of Hagerstown, Washington County Arts Council INC.. Promo photography by Perk Hull Design and Promo costumes by Robin Shaner.
