Penn National Golf Course Community is located in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Pennsylvania farm country. Only 20 miles west of historic Gettysburg PA, Penn National Golf Course Community is in close proximity to many major metropolitan areas. Within a half-day's drive, you can be shopping along the water in Baltimore, MD, visiting museums and historical sites in Washington, DC, or dining and a seeing a Broadway show in New York City. Because we are near both Interstate 81 and Interstate 70, traveling to shop, taking in area attractions or visiting friends and family is a breeze. At Penn National we enjoy the best of both worlds--the friendly rural atmosphere and breath-taking scenery of wide-open farm lands coupled with the convenience of shopping, cultural events and medical facilities found in an urban setting.

Chambersburg is the nearest town and offers libraries, several parks, all types of shopping, entertainment (including several live theatre productions), and first class medical facilities. Nearby Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with its Gettysburg National Military Park abounds with historical museums and attractions, several, of course, having to do with the Civil War. Gettysburg, too, offers shopping, restaurants and entertainment of all types, plus thousands of acres of orchards, covered bridges and mountain scenery.

Michaux State Forest and the Appalachian Trail are adjacent to the Penn National community. Many of our residents routinely hike the Appalachian Trail, enjoying the lush scenery that changes along with the seasons. Nearby Falling Springs is one of the most famous limestone springs in the country and is legendary among trout fishermen—a seasoned guide can help learn to enjoy the sport. Skiers and snowboarders will find Whitetail Ski Resort and Ski Liberty within a 30-minute drive.

If you wish to continue your education, a branch campus of Penn State University, Mont Alto, is also our neighbor, offering library resources, a fitness center and continuing education to our residents. Several other colleges are also located in the area.
